hi there! i have a good recipe for a mocha cake:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp (or less) salt
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups coffee (liquid)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
beat all ingredients until smooth, and bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. it's really good with vanilla ice cream *o*

LOL I usually use box mixes too :x They're so much easier and they taste fine, so why not LOL

I love making red velvet cakes with their cream cheese frosting (white frosting means awesome decorating canvas). and the cake is like a dark red and chocolate. So good. I don't have the recipe on me, but I just read you're more of a box-mix kind of gal.
Brownies are an easy thing to do though. I've just about memorised THAt recipe, haha. Here's the link to that recipe (it also has the frosting on, but I usually don't make the frosting heh)

Funny that you mentioned brownies, because I just saw an awesome looking recipe for brownies and was kinda considering doing that instead of a cake, hahah. I'm pretty sure I'm still gonna stick with a cake, but brownies do sound reeally good XD..
