I think I made her look too chubby. idk. baggy sweaters kinda give me a hard time. guess I should practice folds more. she tends to look kinda pudgy in a lot of my drawings of her though... she's even kinda got a chubby face throughout the comic, so maybe she's just a chubby girl. WHO KNOWS.


Marie. I didn't get her eye size/shape quite right so I don't think this looks very much like her? ehh. another thing to practice. pretty hard to mistake her for anyone else since she's got such giant hair though LOL.

in other news, I FINALLY got my grant money in the mail today from WSU. >__> took them long enough. so like allll my problems just miraculously went away thanks to that and now I can afford food and art supplies and makeup. yayyy.♥♥♥

(I keep saying stuff like that, "once I'm done with English I'll have more time" "once midterms are done I'll have more time" and then I never do have spare time. /SOB why must school eat up all of my tiiiime)

WHEW I finally updated pierrot! Didn't think I'd ever manage to finish this page ahahaha.

I'm required to attend at least one out of class art-related lecture for Art102, which I have been putting off, but I finally went to Luke DuBois's art discussion today. Okay like, I know this guy is pretty famous and all, but I was severely disappointed with his art. A good chunk of it wasn't him actually creating art at all; he just compiled a shitload of pictures of famous people and strung them together to make a video. Not even an interesting video. Just pictures of their faces. KIND OF STUPID? I did like his Hindsight is Always 20/20 piece, but that was about it. Overall, the discussion was really dull. I was taking notes while listening to the lecture, and my notes gradually began to consist more and more of my tendency to people-watch rather than notes about the actual information he was saying LOL... "Speaks loudly after attempting a joke. More specifically, he lets out a very loud 'UMM...' after his jokes." "Excessively uses the word 'quickie.'" "Kind of creepy obsessed with relationships." I don't really think I got much out of the lecture other than he's got major OCD and is fascinated with research and the internet (specifically online dating). I'm supposed to write a paper about what I gained from the lecture, and looking back at my notes, I think all I can manage to write about is things about his personality I observed based on his overall demeanor LOL. At least that would be something different in comparison to all the papers that will be written about DuBois's interest in pop culture? |D

I couldn't finish it though, because she got home while I was in the middle of working on it and I didn't want her to see LOL :( Anyway, it's her character, Xaos.

Aaand I finally got around to drawing out the tattoo design Bailie asked me to make like half a month ago. 8(

Basically just traced the hakuna matata reference she gave me and scratched it up like she asked, then added the writing. Thrilling, I know.

Today was my second to last day of English. Kind of sad about it :(
This has by far been my hardest and most stressful class of the semester, but at the same time, I think it's been my favorite. I love my teacher, I love the students, and I've learned sooo much. Like, what I've learned goes so far beyond English 101 lmao. I will miss this class.

We did a practice exam today to prepare for the final on Tuesday. The exam simply consists of writing an essay, but considering the fact that my professor grades essays harder than anyone in the universe, it had me pretty nervous.
After we finished our practice exams, we were supposed to go to her office and have her edit them. She had her door opened while she was editing, so everyone who was waiting in the hall could hear what she was saying to whoever was currently getting edited. LMAO I WAS SO SCARED TO GO IN THERE. She was like, tearing everyone a new one. One girl looked like she was going to cry when she came out of the office. I was like, "Oh fuck..."
But she read my essay and was like, "This is easily a 4, if not a 5. Definitely an A paper." I WAS SO SHOCKED omg. REMEMBER BACK WHEN SHE WAS GIVING ME LOW C'S ON MY ESSAYS? I'm glad my writing has improved, ahaha.
Then she started pestering me to join her 102 class next term because she liked my writing LOLL. (My writing is so terrible though!? wtff haha.) I was like, "D-do you have a semester-long class!? I so cannot do this eight-week course deal again. WAY too fast-paced." But she told me she only teaches eight-week courses :( I am sadd. Maybe next semester I'll be suicidal and sign up for her 102 class, but I definitely can't handle it this semester. I've had enough English-induced stress for one semester rofl.
I feel a little more confident about the final now, though.
